Community Organizations

Whitefish Bay Business Improvement District:

The mission of the Merchants of Whitefish Bay is to champion the Whitefish Bay Business Improvement District as an exceptional place to shop, live, and conduct business – for individuals, families, and visitors.

Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation:

The Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation was established to promote the betterment of the Village and its residents. In doing so, Civic Foundation is active in the community by supporting and sponsoring community events, projects, and funding organizations that share the same objectives. Our vision is to undertake projects that lessen the burden to Village government and that follow the mission of the organization.

Whitefish Bay School District:

The Whitefish Bay School District is known across the state as enjoying high achieving students, supportive families, and excellent faculty and staff. Whitefish Bay is a caring community that is proud of its children and schools, holds high expectations for academic achievement, and is supportive of the arts and co-curricular activities. The district is an exceptional place to learn and work as a direct result of our people and programming. We are a hard-working, thoughtful team of professionals who are dedicated to continuous improvement and success in all departments, in all schools, and in all classrooms.

Whitefish Bay Education Foundation:

Founded in 1993, the mission of the Foundation is to enhance the quality of public education in Whitefish Bay through unique and innovative ways. The Foundation provides a vehicle for the parents of students, alumni, Village residents, local businesses, foundations and others to support the Whitefish Bay public schools, which are consistently rated among the best public schools in the state and the nation. The Foundation raises funds through a variety of events, including an annual appeal to the community and past supporters of the Foundation; gifts and grants from residents, alumni, local businesses and other foundations; and community activities sponsored by the Foundation, such as Run the Bay, a 5K run/walk held in May in Whitefish Bay, and the Bay Ball.

Whitefish Bay Recreation Department:

Through Whitefish Bay School District, through the Recreation and Community Education Department, is committed to improving the quality of life. This is achieved by providing a wide variety of quality recreational, educational, cultural and social programs and services for all resident and students of Whitefish Bay.

Whitefish Bay Women’s Club:

Founded in 1917, the Whitefish Bay Woman’s Club has been instrumental over the years in a number of VIllage endeavors, including: Developing and building the local library, post office, and fire department. Organizing the first Girl Scout troop in the Village. Starting various services and programs in the community such as the health screening program, community blood drives, Whitefish Bay Senior’s Club, and the Whitefish Bay Historical Society. Providing seed funds for Riveredge Nature Center. And much, much more!

North Shore Junior Women’s Club: 

Founded in 1949, NSJWC is a club for women at least 21 years old from Milwaukee’s North Shore who wish to provide service to their community and to grow culturally, intellectually, and socially. Members participate in service projects, collections and fundraisers for area organizations. Some of the past recipients of NSJWC support include: 16th Street Community Health Center Diabetes Program, the Whitefish Bay and North Shore Public Libraries, Safe Zone Community Art Center, Hunger Task Force and After Breast Cancer Diagnosis. NSJWC is affiliated with the General Federation of Women’s Clubs and the Wisconsin Federation of Women’s Clubs.

Whitefish Bay Historical Society:

The  Whitefish Bay Historical Society is dedicated to researching and   preserving the history of the Village of Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin. Our collection of documents,  pictures and other artifacts inspires research and educational  programming and encourages us to serve as the  institutional memory of  our Village.

Whitefish Bay Community Band:

The Whitefish Bay Community Band performs concerts at events around the community. 

Whitefish Bay Garden Club:

The Whitefish Bay Garden Club was founded in 1958. The Whitefish Bay Garden Club has started, promoted, or collaborated on a number of community projects.
