[ARCHIVED] Leaf Collection

Fall Leaf

Public Works crews have completed a pass throughout the majority of the Village. One northern section of Lake Drive remains and will be completed this week.

Christmas tree collections will start this week, and crews will pick up yard waste bags during this collection.

Crews will be using the street sweeper to clean the remainder of debris and remnant leaf materials from the streets throughout the Village as weather allows. This will help with keeping storm catch basins clear.

We are continuing to monitor the weather forecast. We need a 10-day forecast with no snow and above freezing temperatures to complete a final pass. When warmer and dryer weather is forecasted, we will announce a final leaf collection. The announcement will come a few days before crews start to allow time for residents to rake out any remaining leaves into the street for collection.

Crews have been working early mornings and weekends on leaf collection. It’s been a very slow process with ice and snow. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
